Roadmap

Fly our own molecule first.
Then our partner's.

Credibility in this field is earned in orbit. We prove the platform on our own demonstrator before we ask a partner to trust it with theirs — the same path the field's pioneers took.

2025 – mid 2026Completed

Phase 0 — Foundations

Advisory network built across eight universities. Preliminary pharmaceutical studies completed, including molecule selection. First conversations with pharmaceutical companies. Selected by ESA BIC Milan for its incubation programme.

2026In progress

Phase 1 — Feasibility & module design

Detailed feasibility studies and preliminary module design produce a firm engineering plan. ESA BIC milestones delivered; European public-funding applications advanced. A dedicated PhD programme on module design and its digital twin starts at Politecnico di Milano.

2027 – 2028

Phase 2 — Generation 1: our own demonstrator

Core team hired, laboratory stood up. We build and qualify our first modules — the ground reference and the flight demonstrator — and fly our own molecule on a small autonomous satellite. Results are published: "possible in theory" becomes "proven, and European".

2028 – 2029

Phase 3 — Generation 2: the partner's molecule

With the demonstrator flown and published, a pharmaceutical partner signs and we crystallise their molecule in orbit with the second-generation modules — the first mission flown on a client programme.

2029 – 2030

Phase 4 — Module Gamma: material comes home

We design, build and fly the recovery-class Module Gamma inside a cargo-return capsule, complete GMP certification, and deliver the first kilogram-scale batch of orbitally crystallised drug substance to our partner — opening recurring commercial supply.

Dates are indicative.
